Cody caught his first fish a couple of days ago. He was so proud of himself. He said "Yah, now we can have fish for dinner tonight." Chris told him that the fish needed more time to grow and that they would have to throw him back. Cody frowned and said "Awww, now we don't have any dinner."
He's my little redneck in training. I say this because after going fishing with Chris they went "muddin" to get the truck dirty. Cody was in little boy heaven hanging out with Dad and doing things he plays about everyday. It makes me smile from ear to ear to see him in such a delightful state.
Speaking of little Rednecks, I came home yesterday from grocery shopping and Chris was teaching Sarah how to blow the duck call. She was actually doing it. Duck is one of the words she can say and she loves to make the quack quack noise. Her "quack quack" sounds more like Donald Duck than a real duck, but it's cute anyway.

hoo-larious!
i LOVE the muddin' pic!! hahahaha!
i'll have to find an "ain't skeered" sticker for his wagon. *wink*
i don't think there's a sweeter thing than to see a daddy and his babies having fun together. we're women, so we really 'get' that innate, maternal joy "thing" - but daddies can sometimes be left out.
i don't think i'd rather hear anything more than when i'm busy fixing dinner, and the kids and chris are tied into a knot, rolling around on the living room floor, lauging so hard that one's threatening to pee herself, and the other one has slobber from top to bottom from wrestling with his mouth wide open.
pure JOY!!! i love those moments!
