Rhyme Time

Cody has been asking me about rhyming words. He'll call from the other room "MOM, does wife and knife rhyme?" I say "Yes, they do." He then asks "why?" I try to explain why they rhyme...they sound the same, they end in the same letters, etc. Today in the car he asks "MOM (overly loud, no volume control voice even though I'm right next to him), does mess and stress rhyme?" Where did he hear about stress? Then he asks about movie and smoothie. Next he makes up a word to rhyme with basket. It's cool that he's learning these things. I hope I can keep up. Meanwhile Sarah is chewing on her big toe in the seat beside him.
