We had a Thanksgiving lunch with friends yesterday. The kids dressed up as Pilgrim's and Native Americans and we listened to a story telling about the holiday. Then the kids said what they were thankful for. Most kids said their mommies...there were a lot of Ahhhhh's going around the room. Next came lunch with turkey shaped sandwiches, pumpkin dip, turkey Oreo cookies, pilgrim hat cookies and a homemade sweet potato pie (I am now a fan of sweet potato pie). My friend Amy made turkey covers for the juice boxes that consisted of leaves and construction paper - so cute. The kids gobbled everything down, he he. After we ate we made a neat craft with the kids hand and finger prints. Cody and Sarah made thumb print turkey place cards for the table.
I am so thankful to have my friends around to get me out of my little world of working out and cleaning house. They inspire me to be a better person and mom. When I'm around them I tend to be craftier, more fashionable, a better Christian, more giving and generally happier. They must put off some kind of super mom/friend pheromone that I'm susceptible to. Thanks ladies!
Here are a couple of Native Americans, Dances with Cars and Walks with Puppy, with Pilgrim Cody. They look like trouble or future rock stars.
