Low Calorie Drink

There is something about lunch time that makes me crave a fizzy drink. Instead of drinking soda or diet soda which has lots of sugar or potentially cancerous chemicals I've taken to seltzer with a fruit juice or just a squeeze of lemon or lime.

My current favorite is Pomegranate Cranberry Lift Energy Juice by Ocean Spray. It is made with Splenda and has only 40 calories per bottle. I only use half the bottle or less for each drink. Plus it has vitamin B2, B6, B12 and C which help women with energy and health. I found a six pack of 10 oz bottles at wal-mart (in the juice isle) along with sodium free seltzer from the mixer isle. Seltzer is just plain old water with bubbles. I'm not sure how they carbonate water but I love how it gives a tiny bite. Here's how I mix to my taste:

  • ice
  • 1/2 10oz bottle or less of juice
  • Fill up the cup with seltzer
  • Add a straw, everything seems more exciting when you drink it through a straw, i.e. Margarita, a six pack, no, wait that's for the college students

I hope you like it!

this sounds great! i've been drinking the bottles of flavored sparkling water called "talking rain," but stupid ol' sam's club discontinued it. i bought 3 cases, but that'll run out. it was GREAT! all organic fruit essences and sparkling water - that's it! no sugar, so it's like lemon water (an acquired taste).

gotta watch that splenda! yes, it's made from sugar, but who knows!!! *wink*

really, though, a few friends of mine can't eat it or drink stuff with it because it gives them headaches. *hmmmmm*

still looks delish, though. i've wondered what all you drink since i always have a hard time finding stuff that suits me. ;)
