At 5:30 am I heard Chris open the front door to leave and then I heard "Whoa!" I thought oh no what's wrong as I jumped out of bed. He said look outside and I did and I said "Holy Cow!" I guess we weren't expecting to see snow this morning and a lot of it. It looks like we have 4 or 5 inches. Chris is excited to get the 4 wheeler out and take the kids around. Hopefully the snow will still be here.
Since I can't go out in the cold too much with my bronchitis, I decided to bring the snow in. The kids have been making mini snowman's with doll hats and chocolate chip eyes (Sarah is asking me for "more" eyes right now), which includes eating much of the snow and eyes. We made snow cream too. I mixed 1 cup milk with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract with a big bowl of fluffy beautiful snow. It was good! Here are the kids helping out and enjoying their mid morning snack.
