A shir pain in the butt!

Peasant Girl Top

I spent the weekend learning how to "shir." Come to find out (one gimpy thumb, two bundles of elastic thread, and a bottle of wine later) my new $$$ computerized sewing machine will not shir. I had to break out my old $ machine to get it done. I feel empowered that I figured it out. I still have a lot to learn about it. The next project will be a shirred valentine skirt (hopefully).
Couch to 5K update - I finished week 4 and am feeling good. I feel a change in my legs, they feel stronger than before. I seem to be recovering quicker since I started eating extra carbs. I eat a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and a banana directly after my workout to give my muscles fuel for the rest of the day. It's working!
Have a great week!
