Chris came home and picked up the shopping bag we kept everything in and Sarah said "that's for Haiti Daddy." She thinks Haiti is a person we are buying things for. She asked when are we going to take it to Haiti's House. This morning I explained again about where Haiti is and the people who live there, about the earthquake and about how the people need these basic necessities (toothpaste, nail clipper, comb, etc.). Cody wanted to know how the kits would get there - my future logistics engineer. He saw a few pictures of the devastation and understood a little better about why we are doing this. I didn't want him to see too much because he is sensitive to despair and sadness.
We had fun this morning and left for school with a happy heart knowing we are doing a little bit of Good Will. If you'd like to help out too, follow the link above to learn more. Email other friends and get them involved. It's a kid friendly way to help.
Have a Blessed Day!
