A Day at the Beach

Our vacation to Gulf Shores, AL, prior to the oil reaching the shores, was lots of fun this year. We enjoyed looking for sea shells (see the blue bag in Cody's hand), playing in the sand, playing in the condo kiddie pool, relaxing and jumping waves in the ocean (this is good exercise).

It was rainy and chilly the first day, but the kids wanted to go down to the beach in between rain storms. They came back up to the room covered in sand and about as wet as they would of been if they had gotten into the water.

Miss Priss took a couple of days to get used to the sand. We had to keep a big bucket of water near by so she could wash her feet and hands several times during her play time.

Cody enjoyed squirting everyone with the water gun. He would chase Sarah around while she smiled and screamed.

Cody found two shells big enough to...well, you can see what he did with them.

Me taking video of the kids. Chris was giving me a dose of my own medicine. My mom tortured me with her camera too. They love to gang up on me.

Sarah really wanted to put her found shells in Daddy's pocket, much to his dismay.

Everyone is oh so tired after a long week of fun in the sun, getting up early, eating unhealthy things (yes! we had chips, cookies, fried foods), staying up late and just having a good time.
