Cody's class decorated gingerbread houses one day. I was lucky enough to get to help out. The kids had a great time slathering on icing and decorating with treats. Cody was serious about this project and took great pains to make his house just right. One kid was covered in frosting from his neck to his shoes. They got to eat the left over treats after the house was finished.
Here he is using his tongue to concentrate. I used to do that when I was little.
Sarah got to see Santa at school. She wasn't afraid and went right to him. She said she wanted baby dolls and a Barbie Jeep (because the other girls said this). She is wearing a dress I made her. Cody saw Santa at Cedar Hill Farms earlier in the month. He said he wanted an AT AT, which he now has.
Sarah is doing the milkshake song here with Mrs. Pam's class. She loves to do this song. I think she is in the "mixing it up" part.
We where late with the Christmas cards this year. The kids barely cooperated. Here they are laughing at their daddy while I snap away, snap is a good word to describe what I was doing. If only they would of looked at me. I love the belly laughs. Sarah has hives from her antibiotics.
Next we headed to Mud Monkey to paint ornaments and do a hand print plate. Both the kids took this task seriously and did a great job. Sarah picked a gingerbread man and Cody picked a star. Chris and I couldn't resist so we painted some too. Mine was a snowman and his was a reindeer.
Giving the Mud Monkey a little affection.
Christmas Eve morning we decorated our gingerbread house. I think Cody ate more candy than he used. Sarah didn't like the sour candies or the peppermints, weird child. She doesn't like hot chocolate either, loves chocolate milk though. I'm opposite...I love hot chocolate, but hate chocolate milk.
We all went to the Christmas Eve service at our church. The kids did well. They enjoyed the music and the candle lighting at the end. Sarah was excited to were her Christmas dress and bring her doll with the same dress. Overall it was a nice month of Christmas songs, books, activities, trees and hot cocoa. We had a sickly Christmas season, but we enjoyed it never the less.
