Picnic in February

I wonder how many other people where enjoying the beautiful weather today. Sarah and I had a picnic out front...in February! It was awesome. We soaked in some much needed vitamin D. Well, my hands soaked it in since I keep my head and face covered as much as possible. Trying to perserve my natural beauty. I'm almost 40 and I need all the help I can get.

By the middle of lunch we were shedding jackets. Here is a picture of what I had for lunch. It's a sweet potato with quinoa and a salad with apples, cucumber and sunflower seeds. It was yummy. Sarah kept eating my salad. I'm trying to eat food that balance out my diet and boost my immunity. Instead of a rainbow of fruit flavors (i.e. skittles) I eat a rainbow of fruit and veggies. I am however craving a donut and a cupcake topped with chocolate icing. Maybe for breakfast tomorrow.

Me in my big floppy hat from Target. I have to hid my face from the sun since I found out I have basal cell carcinoma above my eye brow and on my head. Hats are fun so I don't mind too much, plus the sunscreen seems to even out my skin. All good things!

I know it's been a year plus since I posted. It's been a hard year that needed much attention. One thing I've learned from 2011 is to and I quote FLORIDA's song Good Feeling..." Giving up's not an option, gotta get it in."
